Anemia can be easily prevented by making certain dietary changes. It is important to include foods that are not only rich in Iron but also rich in Vitamin B12, folic acid, and copper like spinach, fenugreek leaves, beetroot, kale, nuts, beans, lentils, sesame seeds, eggs, green leafy vegetables, beans and pulses, especially soy bean, peaches, and raisins, apricots, prunes, currants, figs, and dates, etc.
Vitamin C is necessary for the absorption of iron. Make sure to take vitamin C by eating fruits such as orange, amla (Indian gooseberry), tomatoes, pomegranate, etc.
